The Beautiful Art of Taqueria Alonzo
I took a bunch of pictures at Taqueria Alonzo (both the Lebanon and Albany locations) for the SWOT project, but I didn't end up using them all in the project. I was getting really tired of fixing Google Doc's formatting with pictures... but I didn't want the pictures to go to waste, since all the paintings are really beautiful. Like I mentioned in the project, they embody much of the Mexican muralism and Chicano mural movements, and the art generally just makes it feel so much more of a well-loved environment. I may add to this as the term goes on and I continue to visit!
The outside wall of the Lebanon location, facing the parking lot.
The podium at the Lebanon location's front entrance where you order and wait to be seated.
The bench at the back end of the Albany location, next to the bar and counter. This bench pre-dates the remodel!
Some of the wall murals in the Albany location. Beneath it, local residents can add a donation jar for something they need funding for. Last time I was there, it was for someone's cancer treatment.
